Shortly after Season 9 of So You Think You Can Dance’s finale, all-stars Allison Holker and tWitch Boss, along with Allison’s daughter, Weslie, vacationed at Villa del Palmar Cancun. They celebrated tWitch’s 30th birthday at the resort.
Talk Show Host and So You Think You Can Dance fan Ellen DeGeneres celebrated her birthday last week, and Late Night Host Jimmy Kimmel surprised her with a performance from seven So You Think You Can Dance alumni! Season 8’s Top 2 Melanie Moore and Sasha Mallory, Season 7’s Alex Wong, All-Stars and Season 4 finalists tWitch Boss and Comfort Fedoke, and All-Stars and Season 2 finalists Allison Holker and Ivan Koumaev sprung from seats in The Ellen Show audience to surprise her with a performance to LMFAO’s “Sexy And I Know It.”
So You Think You Can Dancers Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, Allison Holker, Dmitry Chaplin, Chelsie Hightower, and choreographer Louis Van Amstel will perform at Casa Dorada Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on New Year’s Eve. Judge Mary Murphy will host the New Year’s Eve show. Casa Dorada’s GM Enrique Turcott offers, “We’re excited to announce that even more talented performers will be coming to Los Cabos for New Year’s! tWitch’s signature hip hop style and Allison’s contemporary grace will be a great compliment to the fantastic ballroom dancers already announced. Our guests are going to be blown away by all the talent on display!”
When all-stars Courtney Galiano (Season 4) and Allison Holker (Season 2) performed at L.A.’s Staples Center on their penultimate tour stop, they opened up to Fox.com/Dance. Allison revealed something she’s never told anyone before and Courtney talked about Glee.
When asked what it’s like to get an opportunity to tour the nation once again with So You Think You Can Dance, Courtney and Allison said that it has been amazing. Dancers don’t often get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a part of a huge production like this, the girls explained.
I have yet to miss a So You Think You Can Dance tour, and I anxiously waited for the Season 7 tour to roll into my hometown. The Season 7 Top 7, plus special all-star guests, rolled into Los Angeles on their penultimate tour stop.
Artist Christina Perri got her big break on Season 7 of So You Think You Can Dance when Billy Bell and All-Star Kathryn McCormick danced a Contemporary piece by Stacey Tookey to her song, “Jar of Hearts.” After the song aired on June 30th, fans responded extremely well to the song and flocked to iTunes. The unsigned singer suddenly sold over 100,000 copies of “Jar of Hearts,” performed on talk shows, and was invited back on So You Think You Can Dance to perform the song during the Top 7 results show. During this performance, Christina was joined by All-Stars Allison Holker and Neil Haskell in a piece choreographed by SYTYCD Executive Producer Jeff Thacker.

Week after week they’ve put out some of the most memorable performance in SYTYCD history alongside the talented Top 11 of Season 7.
