SYTYCD Nominated for Teen Choice Award
The next wave of nominees has been announced for TEEN CHOICE 2012, airing live Sunday, July 22 8/7c on FOX. TEEN CHOICE 2012 celebrates the hottest teen icons in television, music, film, sports, fashion, comedy and the web, and So You Think You Can Dance has been nominated for “Choice Summer TV Show!”

SYTYCD Earns TCA Award Nomination
It was announced on June 6 that So You Think You Can Dance is one of five nominated TV shows for the Outstanding Achievement in Reality Programming honor at this year’s Television Critics Association Awards. The award winners will be revealed on July 28.

The ninth season of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE debuts with auditions from Dallas and New York on a two-hour premiere event airing on a special night, Thursday, May 24 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. The following week, the Emmy-nominated series moves into its regular time period, with audition episodes continuing in Los Angeles Wednesday, May 30 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), in Atlanta on Wednesday, June 6 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) and in Salt Lake City on Wednesday, June 13 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT)
Talented dancers who spark the judges’ interest during these auditions will be invited to Las Vegas for the callback round airing Wednesday, June 20 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). Then, on Wednesday, June 27 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) the series celebrates its 200th episode, as the judges announce the Top 20 finalists – 10 guys and 10 girls – who will perform in their own specialties, free of any judgment, so that America can get to know more about them and their talents
Season 9 Premiere and Format Changes
The wait is nearly over! So You Think You Can Dance, the Emmy-nominated hit dance competition series, returns for a ninth season on Thursday, May 24 at 8/7c. The auditions in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Dallas and Salt Lake City feature host Cat Deeley and resident judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy, as well as guest judges Debbie Allen, Lil’ C, Tyce Diorio, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Adam Shankman.
Attend the So You Think You Can Dance Experience: New Dates
SYTYCDX is a 2-3 day workshop filled with classes, seminars, a mock audition opportunity, and performances. Participants have a chance to win scholarships, tickets to a live taping of SYTYCD Season 9, Gift Packages, complete with SYTYCD Tour Merchandise, and more. This unique event grants guests VIP status with up-close and personal access to a renowned roster of choreographers and SYTYCD Alumni Dancers.

Season 9 Auditions – Two Cities Left
There are only two more opportunities to audition for Season 9 of So You Think You Can Dance. The show will continue its search for America’s Favorite Dancer Thursday, Feb. 23 at the Capitol Theatre in Salt Lake City, UT and Friday, March 2 at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. Auditions in Atlanta, Dallas, and New York have wrapped.
SYTYCD Alumni Celebrate Ellen DeGeneres’ Birthday
Talk Show Host and So You Think You Can Dance fan Ellen DeGeneres celebrated her birthday last week, and Late Night Host Jimmy Kimmel surprised her with a performance from seven So You Think You Can Dance alumni! Season 8’s Top 2 Melanie Moore and Sasha Mallory, Season 7’s Alex Wong, All-Stars and Season 4 finalists tWitch Boss and Comfort Fedoke, and All-Stars and Season 2 finalists Allison Holker and Ivan Koumaev sprung from seats in The Ellen Show audience to surprise her with a performance to LMFAO’s “Sexy And I Know It.”
Alex Wong is Going to Hollywood with American Idol
Season 7 superstar Alex Wong had his dance career temporarily sidelined by his Achilles injury, but that hasn’t stopped him from pursuing his other dreams. Did you know Alex can sing? American Idol’s Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, and Steven Tyler put him through to Hollywood after he auditioned for them at San Diego Auditions for the show’s 11th season!
Catch Cat Deeley Co-Host LIVE! WITH KELLY
So You Think You Can Dance’s host with the most, Cat Deeley, will co-host LIVE! WITH KELLY alongside Kelly Ripa this Thursday, January 26. Cat has been busy traveling for Season 9 auditions, which brought her to Atlanta, Dallas, and New York this month.
