Created by Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe, summer’s hottest series showcases talented dancers – skilled in everything from Ballet, Breaking, Krumping and Salsa to Swing, Tap and Contemporary Jazz – competing for the title of America’s Favorite Dancer.

“In addition to discovering fantastic new talent, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE has introduced viewers to the young, edgy, incredibly creative side of dance we hadn’t seen before on television,” said Nigel Lythgoe, series co-creator, executive producer and judge. “From the Emmy-winning choreography to the incredible contestants, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE is a cultural phenomenon, and we’re excited that it will be back for another season.”

Last season’s winner, Lauren Froderman, danced off with a $250,000 cash prize, the title of America’s Favorite Dancer and a cover feature in Dance Spirit Magazine. Additionally, she is the first-ever dancer featured as a Gatorade athlete.

Froderman will join Season Seven’s Top 7 and All-Stars Ade, Allison, Courtney, Dominic and Kathryn and Season Six winner Russell on the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Live Tour 2010, which kicks off Sunday, Sept. 19, in New Orleans, LA. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE was created by Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe and comes from 19 Entertainment Ltd. and dick clark productions. The series is executive-produced by Simon Fuller, Nigel Lythgoe and Barry Adelman. Become a fan of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE on Facebook at and follow the series on Twitter at

I think it is a sad shame that this show would limit the upper age of who can audition. If someone is talented as a younger dancer then why in the earth would you want to exclude them from auditioning. To me it is just shameful to limit someone from dancing due to age when the dancer can prove their fitness, health and ability to perform. Please consider eliminating the upper age limit and let talent shine regardless of age.

the year that i turn 18 can not can not come faster enough!
i can not put dancing in enough words to explain how i feel. The passion i have for dancing is in my heart.I dance with my heart, my soul feeds on dancing. For the past ten years, ever since i was three, i would get up on that stage, and just loose my self. From the time the music starts and stops im a different person.People may be nervous to get in front of those judges.then theres me, saying here i come judges, ive been hiding for 18 years and now im here. Im gonna show you who i really am.
but for now, ill just have to keep waiting for five more years, im fine with it because every day i get better and better at that five letter word called D-A-N-C-E(:
