SYTYCD Tour Launch Party

The 2010 Tour Dancers and Cat Deeley pose at the tour party.

Did everyone have a good Labor Day weekend? Your favorite dancers sure did! The SYTYCD Tour dancers, along with host Cat Deeley, took over Six Flags Magic Mountain in Southern California for the So You Think You Can Dance 2010 Tour Launch Party on Friday, September 3, 2010. The park was closed especially for the dancers who are about to embark on a 40-city tour which kicks off on September 19 in New Orleans.

Would love to see the tour, but I live in Australia. Any chance of taking the tour to a global/international level?

But what I really need to comment on is the show: I’ve watched every season, and I welcome changes, though I may resist at first.

As a viewer, and a fan of the show, I am hoping to see even *more* change in Season 8.

This is what i want to see next season:

    1. A total mix-up with pairing. I want to see contestants dance with other contestants early on, then I want to see them progress to dancing with ‘All Stars’, then I want to see them paired with professional working dancers who are mature, and well into their dance careers.

    2. A total mix-up on the judging panel: I want to see different judges every week. I think Nigel should be accompanied by different judges each week, because I appreciate fresh, new perspectives. And I think the dancers would appreciate it as well.

    3. I want to see a ‘best performance’ award given out each week. Nigel should decide upon it. The prize should be good/creative – it could motivate the dancers to fight more fiercly and dance better!

    4. I want to see more celebrity fans of the show on the judging panel. Ellen is hilarious, and I’m sure there are other celebs who watch the show :)

    5. A tribut to Michael Jackson might be nice as well. I’m not a huge fan of his, but a dance tribute would be lovely to see.

Lastly, I love So You Think You Can Dance, and I hope the show never ends! xo
