Nigel Lythgoe announced on Twitter:
She’s a little firecracker. She’s been Tyce’s assistant in Vegas this week. She’s a #SYTYCD All-Star. She’s Courtney Galliano.
Courtney Galiano was a strong presence on So You Think You Can Dance’s fourth season, and she made it all the way to the finale. Her grandparents were by her side from the very first performance on through the finale. Courtney’s partnership with Gev Manoukian made the pint-sized couple a force to be reckoned with. When Courtney and Gev performed a Mandy Moore contemporary routine to “Lost” and a jazz routine to “Standing There,” Courtney’s strengths in her own genres shined through. The versatile dancer also tackled disco, rumba, and hip hop choreography among other styles. Courtney’s most memorable moment on Season 4 was her Sonya Tayeh jazz dance with All-Star Mark Kanemura to “The Garden.”
Since appearing on Season 4 of SYTYCD, Courtney has made quite a name for herself in the entertainment industry. She teaches disco choreography on the So You Think You Can Dance: Get Fit – Cardio Funk DVD. Courtney’s danced with J.Lo and Adam Lambert, she performed on a few episodes of GLEE, and she was involved with Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel. Courtney has even been involved with Season 7 of So You Think You Can Dance. She traveled with Season 5’s Jason Glover to the hometown auditions across the United States to teach choreography to the Vegas hopefuls. This weekend, Courtney traveled to Las Vegas to assist Tyce Diorio in choreographing and teaching the Season 7 contestants.
Courtney Galiano will be an amazing addition to the All-Star group in the areas of Jazz, Broadway, Cultural, Disco, and Contemporary dance.
