Host Cat Deeley with Nathan and Noelle
The Top 8 finalists were revealed after Noelle Marsh and Nathan Trasoras were eliminated tonight on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. Marsh, 18, is a Contemporary dancer from Sanford, NC; and Trasoras, 18, is a Contemporary dancer from Downey, CA. This week’s results show also featured performances by Snoop Dogg with Quest Crew, who debuted his new single, “I Wanna Rock,” as well as by LXD (Legion of Extraordinary Dancers).
With only two weeks to go until the final showdown, the competition gets even hotter when the Top 8 finalists (Ashleigh Di Lello, Ryan Di Lello, Russell Ferguson, Mollee Gray, Jakob Karr, Kathryn McCormick, Legacy Perez and Ellenore Scott) take the stage Tuesday, Dec. 8 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on the penultimate performance show in hopes of making it to the finale and earning the title of America’s Favorite Dancer.
On Wednesday, Dec. 9 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), Season Eight AMERICAN IDOL winner Kris Allen and pop sensations Wonder Girls will take the stage. Allen will perform his newest single, “Live Like You’re Dying,” and Wonder Girls will sing their hit song, “Nobody,” before America’s vote is revealed and Cat Deeley names the six dancers who will perform in the following week’s finale.
Kris Allen won the hearts of America each week on AMERICAN IDOL by adding his signature pop-rock sound to each performance he gave. Allen who hails from Conway, AR, is a pianist and self-taught guitar player. He recently released his debut self-titled album on 19 Recordings/ Jive Records, and his first single from the album, “Live Like We’re Dying,” has received rave reviews and is currently climbing the U.S. radio charts.
Pop sensation Wonder Girls sold over 30,000 copies of their debut single “Nobody” during the week of October 11 earning them the No. 76 position with a bullet on the Hot 100. This is the first time ever a music group from South Korea has debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. Already a hit in Asia, the Wonder Girls are striking a chord with a young U.S. audience, having just completed their first U.S. concert tour with the Jonas Brothers.

Sorry to see Nathan go but he was continuously bashed and battered by that judge that looks like Bart Simpson and sometimes acts like him too. I think he was treated unfairly and really was doomed by the negative comments. Its unfortunate because we really did not get to see his growth and true potential. I am disappointed in this season. Last season by far was your best with good dancers and great choreography. This season is lacking in both. No Mia this season, huge loss. I miss the quality of dancers like Danny and Brandon. I’ll pass on the rest of this season and maybe come back next year. Hopefully, you will have better dancers, choreography and judges who are objective and not mean spirited.
Being executive producer should not allow you to mistreat contestants.

I will miss Noelle in the competition, but she does get to tour, and she does have Adam ready to hire her, so she’ll be OK.

You know for a fact that if it’s contemporary they are going to go nuts. they always LOVE it. no matter what. It could be off the wall and they just think it’s the BEST ever.. I agree i think that Mary should leave and get some one else in there. Even once in a while. She drives me crazy sometimes.

No one has an answer to this problem and when I heard about Ashleigh, it sounded kind of similar except he is 26 and the only thing they can think of is that it might be ALS. Voters, keep in mind that next week is the week before the finale, and there will be six people in the finale this season, instead of four.
Kathryn should most definitely be in the finale, and she was in the Bottom 4 this week, so next week, it is very important that the voters should NOT assume she is safe, and vote for her no matter what, especially if her voting number is 1-888-TEMPO-01. She has been outstanding this season. Let us get Kathryn McCormick into the finale!
As for Noelle, she did a great job this season. For certain, she will go far and have a great career. Hopefully, we will get to see her later this season and in future seasons for guest performances, updates, and other things. Maybe we will see her on another show some time soon. I said before that I wish that people who made Top 20 but got eliminated before the finale could come back another season, but at least this is not the end, it is just the beginning.
As for Nathan, it was interesting to see him audition in Season 5 and get a ticket for Vegas for Season 6 while he was still 17, then turn 18 before Season 6, go to Vegas, and make the Top 20. This inspires anyone who is almost 18 to do the same.
As for Mollee, she did great this week, as well. Again, voters don’t assume she is safe; please vote for her anyway.

This season has sucked, crap choreography, too many scheduling changes, not as much diverse routines (too many waltz)
Where are the following styles?
Mambo, West Coast Swing, Krump, More Bollywood (When Lil C choreographed that was hip hop, not Krump)
And too much favouritism of certain dancers (Jakob, Russell – Yes they are good but let us formulate our own opinions about them rather than plugging them every single week)

Oviously the people voting arent real dancers and have no clue as to what a good dancer is.
Nathan and Noelle were the most versatile dancers on the show this season.
Season 6 is terrible. Terrible choreography, terrible results, and EXTREMELY biased judging.
It’s just ridiculous.

Which reminds me: I really wish they kept the drama ON the stage. It’s really ridiculous to have dancers’ parents compete for the best self-serving sob story. Previously, when I thought she actually had some life-threatening illness, I was annoyed with the redundant mentions but cut her some slack. But a parasite? Good grief, I hope this does not inspire other dancers to share their stories of Flu or a bad episode of diarrhea to solicit votes.
On a good note, I am glad all the couples performed two numbers — one fast/funny and one serious. That displays their abilities much better. That group that performed on the results show was great.
